Performing a Firmware Update

To update your DS-1 Player to the latest firmware...

1. Download the file in the link to a computer and unZip

2. Completely wipe a USB memory stick and unzip the zip file's contents to this flash drive.

   • The file should be called install.img
   • This should be on the root folder of the flash drive (not in a subfolder)

3. Unplug the DC power jack from the DS-1 Player.

   • Ensure there are no lights on the unit (it is powered off).

4. Insert the USB drive into the USB2.0 port in the DS-1

5. Plug a HDMI cable between the HDMI OUT port on the DS-1 and a HDMI display/TV.

   • Turn on the display and make sure the correct HDMI input is selected, ready to get video from the DS-1.

6. Hold the power button on the front of the DS-1. Continue to hold this power button whilst re-inserting the DC power jack to the DS-1.

   • Continue to hold the power button for 10 seconds as the DS-1 powers up.
   You should see white dots on the connected display but after a short while the Power light should turn red and you'll see the firmware update process screen on the TV.

7. After the 10 seconds has elapsed, release the power button. The unit will complete the update process and then reboot itself.

   Do not disconnect the power at any point.

8. Once the unit reboots, wait a few minutes for the update process to complete.

   When the Player is ready you will be greeted with the Signage app setup page, stating your network connection status and IP address.
