Performing a Firmware Update

DS-2

To update your DS-2 Player to the latest firmware...

Request the latest firmware here:

DS-2 Firmware
  1. Download the firmware file to a computer and unZip
  2. Completely wipe a USB memory stick and unzip the zip file's contents to this flash drive.
    • The file should have the extension .bin
    • This should be on the root folder of the flash drive (not in a subfolder)
  3. Plug a HDMI cable between the HDMI OUT port on the DS-2 and a HDMI display/TV.
    • Turn on the display and make sure the correct HDMI input is selected, ready to get video from the DS-2.
  4. Ensure the DS-2 is powered and has fully booted.
    • Ensure the STATUS LED is NOT flashing RED.
  5. Insert the USB drive into the USB port in the DS-2
  6. Hold the FUNCTION button on the front of the DS-2.
    • Continue to hold the FUNCTION button for 8 seconds until the STATUS LED changes to MAGENTA or CYAN.

You should see a notification on the TV indicating the DS-2 is performing an update.

The DS-2 may reboot several times during an update.

Do not disconnect the power at any point.

  1. Once the STATUS LED changes to a NON-FLASHING RED, ORANGE or GREEN colour.

You should see a notification on the TV indicating the DS-2 has completed the update.

From this point the unit can be setup using the AD+Sign App
